TUBE SHOW 2024 has learned that in the production and processing of tubular parts, despite the varying products based on customer demands, the working principle of laser cutting machines for parts remains the same. Most machines are equipped with two loaders, located on either side of the main body. The primary loader is generally used for long-term, large-volume production of tubes; the other loader is for temporary processing, allowing for interruption of large-scale operations to complete small, urgent orders before resuming previous tasks.
Currently, a new technology, the onboard measurement system, is gradually being adopted in the tube processing industry. It can compare the dimensions of the workpiece being measured with the cutting program, and the software determines if they match. If the operator loads the wrong material, the software will indicate a mismatch and prevent operation, effectively preventing material waste and machine damage, as well as saving time.
TUBE SHOW 2024 has also been informed that the onboard measurement system can assist in handling minor deformations in the pipes themselves.
Slight bulges or twists are often seen on the surfaces of rectangular, square, and other shaped tubes. The onboard measurement system can determine the degree of bending or twisting of the pipe and adjust the cutting parameters to align the laser head with the actual contours of the pipe. This has many advantages over cutting according to a preset program, allowing for more efficient production of parts.
