TUBE CHINA 2024 learned that at a recent industrial processing exhibition, whether it's metal product design, manufacturing, assembly, or maintenance, none can be separated from the display of new automation technologies, such as grinding equipment, intelligent devices, material handling, large item packaging, and so on. The utilization rate of automation in the pipe manufacturing industry is gradually increasing, but there are still gaps between different business sectors.
The recent research conclusions from the industry reports on manufacturing technology and labor development trends indicate: The advancement of industrial automation actually leads to a shortage of skilled workers. Industrial automation investment is increasing, while young people's interest in vocational schools is declining.
Industrial Robot Automation Continues Steady Expansion
The Robotic Industries Association (RIA) released a report this week showing that North American robot orders increased by more than 5% within a year; in the third quarter of that year, it grew by 5.2% compared to the previous year.
TUBE CHINA 2024 has learned that currently, the biggest driver of order growth is the increase in orders from automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), accounting for 47%, followed by the plastic and rubber industry, accounting for 15%, and the food and consumer goods industry accounting for 4%.
Jeff Burnstein, president of the Robotic Industries Association, said that companies that have never invested in automation equipment before have a strong interest in automation, and customers from non-automotive industries also have a substantial number of orders, which shows the future industrial development trend.
"We see the potential of the future robot market and look forward to further growth," Burnstein said.
