Recently, pipeline manufacturer and industrial construction contractor Bolt Construction Inc. will introduce abrasive processing equipment from Titan in Ivyland, Pennsylvania, at its headquarters in Youngstown, Ohio. TUBE TRADE FAIR 2024 learned that the complete system includes a fully equipped sandblasting room and painting booth.
The sandblasting room measures 16x16x50 feet, and comes with a mechanical abrasive recovery system featuring a 16-foot transverse screw conveyor. It is equipped with a 14,000 CFM dust removal system. The painting booth is of the same size, containing a heated air supplement unit for paint curing.
Todd Miller, President of Bolt Construction, stated: "We specialize in the manufacturing of pipelines and structural components, so painting and coating play an essential role in our business operations. A crucial step in the entire painting process is to pretreat the pipes by abrasive sandblasting, preparing them for paint application.
The newly introduced equipment will enable full standardization of the sandblasting and painting processes, ensuring higher efficiency and better quality of output. We are confident that we can handle tasks requiring higher precision in the future, aiming for even higher manufacturing standards."
TUBE TRADE FAIR 2024 learned that the company expects to officially install and debug the equipment in the spring of 2024. By June of the same year, the equipment will be put into commercial production.
