Gesellschaft für Wolfram Industrie mbH has developed two new Orbistar electrodes for orbital, tube, and circular welding.
Comprising rare earths, the WS2 Witstar electrode offers durability for tube welding applications. As an alternative, the WLa 20 electrode is suitable for working with frequent ignition sequences. It is designed for low currents and for working with thin-walled tubes.
Process-specific alloys and custom dimensions also are possible, including angled electrodes up to a diameter of 0.13 in. for interior welds in tubes.
